Who it's not for:

Don't reuse solution after the probe has been dipped — pour a small amount into a separate container, calibrate, then discard. Contaminated solution gives bad calibration. Keep bottle sealed between uses; air exposure degrades accuracy over months. For single-point calibration only, pH 7 alone isn't quite as accurate as two-point — use both pH 4 and pH 7 solutions for best results.
