The workhorse irrigation pipe — 19mm low-density polyethylene with a 300kPa pressure rating. The most common pipe used for domestic and smaller commercial irrigation applications. Flexible enough to route cleanly around obstacles, strong enough to handle standard hydroponic pump pressure. Uses standard barbed LDPE fittings — universally available and cheap.

Check the diameter matches your system — AutoPot uses 16mm or 9mm, IWS Standard uses 13mm, IWS Pro uses 25mm. This is specifically 19mm for Alien Hydroponics and compatible systems. Not rated for high-pressure mains; this is irrigation pump pressure only (up to 300kPa). For UV-resistant outdoor use, check UV-stabilised variants — LDPE degrades under sustained sun exposure.
