Who it's not for:

Specifically for G.A.S EC active cable systems — won't work with passive cables or other brand controllers. For longer reach beyond 5m, combine with G.A.S Female-to-Female extension cables (7m or 11m). For AC fan systems, G.A.S AC1 controller uses different cabling. Passive extension cables don't preserve signal like active ones do; only use active cables throughout the chain.
