Who it's not for:

For multiple grow cycles of repeated use, plastic-coated steel stakes last longer than bamboo. Bamboo can split or rot over time, especially in wet soil — don't expect years of use from a single stake. For very heavy flowering plants, stakes alone may be insufficient — use a conical plant support or SCROG netting instead. Bamboo can harbour spider mites inside hollow stems; inspect and discard any suspect canes.
