If you're hand-watering in soil, a portable Bluelab Combo Meter is probably what you want instead — the Guardian only makes sense for recirculating hydroponic systems or permanent nutrient reservoirs. Note: you'll need to calibrate the pH probe periodically (a small bottle of Bluelab pH 4 & pH 7 buffer solution — we stock it).
