A one-way check valve for airline tubing — prevents water from flowing back down the airline and into your air pump when the pump is switched off (or loses power). Cheap insurance against a flooded pump. Fits standard airline tubing between pump and airstone.

Who it's not for:

If your air pump is positioned above the reservoir's water level, backflow isn't a risk and a check valve is unnecessary. Install with the arrow pointing from pump to airstone (direction of airflow); installing backwards blocks your air pump output.
