Eden Essentials Perlite 100L — 2-4mm Grade for Soil & Coco

Standard 2-4mm horticultural perlite — volcanic glass heated and popped into lightweight, sterile, inert granules. Mix into soil or coco at 20-30% to dramatically improve aeration, drainage, and root development. One of the cheapest improvements you can make to your growing medium.

Why growers mix perlite into their medium:

• Improves aeration around roots — plants get more oxygen, grow faster
• Dramatically improves drainage — excess water escapes rather than drowning roots
• Prevents soil compaction — keeps the medium light and airy across multiple waterings
• 2-4mm grade — standard horticultural size, right balance between water retention and drainage
• Inert and sterile — doesn't affect pH, no pathogens, no nutrient interference
• 100L bulk bag — enough to amend many pots or one large grow bed
• Increases root mass — better aeration = more root development = better uptake = better plants

Who it's not for:

Not needed in pure hydroponic systems (DWC, NFT, clay pebbles) — perlite is a soil/coco amendment. Dust mask recommended when handling — perlite dust is harmless but can irritate airways. For air-pruning, fabric pots are a better solution than perlite-heavy mixes.
