A standard pH Down solution for lowering the pH of nutrient solutions into the optimal uptake range. The most-used pH adjuster in UK grow rooms because most tap water is alkaline (pH 7.5+) and needs bringing down to 5.5-6.5 for plants to absorb their nutrients properly. Approximately 1ml per 50L shifts pH by one unit — small doses, big effect.

Who it's not for:

For strict-organic growing, use BioBizz Bio pH- (citric acid-based) — this standard pH Down is typically phosphoric acid and not organic-compatible. For soil growing, frequent pH adjustment is less necessary — soil buffers better than hydroponic/coco media. Add small amounts at a time, stir, re-test before adding more. Wear gloves when handling; phosphoric acid can irritate skin.
