A capillary mat that breaks the surface tension of water and nutrient solution, helping it spread evenly across growing systems — particularly useful in NFT where uneven wetting leaves dry spots that starve roots. Laid in the bottom of the channel, it turns a narrow flow into a wide, even wet film.
